ORDER

The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection to conduct survey.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, he wanted to survey his patta land and he has also paid the necessary charges. However, the same has being objected by the 3rd respondent and hence the survey could not be conducted.

3. In such view of the matter, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection, in case if the request for police protection emanated from the jurisdictional surveyor. However, police protection is only for the purpose of conducting survey and not for taking possession of any property or for putting up fencing.

4. With the said observations, the criminal original petition stands disposed of. 09-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No rgm
