ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- “directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal in reference No. 735/ G/ 2018 filed by the 2nd respondent herein before the 1st respondent within the time frame as may be stipulated by this Honble court.”

2. The grievance of the Petitioner Company is that, an Award was passed by the Deputy Registrar of Chits, Salem West, as early as on 19.01.2016 in its favour. Challenging the said Award, the 2nd Respondent preferred a statutory Appeal before the 1st Respondent, in which an order of stay of operation of the Award was passed and communicated to the Petitioner Company on 04.05.2018. However, the said Appeal has not been disposed of by the 1st Respondent to date, despite several representations made by the Petitioner Company. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

4. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the 1st Respondent is directed to dispose of the Appeal preferred by the 2nd Respondent on merits and in accordance with law, after affording the Petitioner
