ORDER

The petitioner, a Headmistress at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Thirumangalam, has filed the present Writ Petition challenging the proceedings issued by the third respondent on 09.05.2025, directing her to participate in the general transfer counselling.

2. It appears that pending this Writ Petition, the petitioner was transferred to another place, and the said order of transfer was also challenged before this Court in W.P.(MD) No.18306 of 2025.

3. When this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner has joined at the place to which she was transferred and has been working there for the past one year.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, while disposing of W.P.(MD) No.18306 of 2025 on 04.07.2025, this Court had permitted the

WP(MD) No. 18026 of 2025 petitioner to submit a representation seeking accommodation at another place. However, such a representation submitted by the petitioner has not been considered, and the petitioner has, therefore, been constrained to join and continue to work at the transferred place.

5. This Court has considered the rival submissions made on either side and perused the materials placed on record.

6. Considering the fact that the petitioner has already joined at the transferred place and has been working there for the past one year, nothing further survives for consideration in this Writ Petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. 09-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No mbi
