ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to survey the land in Re- Survey Nos.67 and 69 situated at Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar District within a stipulated time fixed by this Court based on the petitioner’s representation dated 27.08.2026.

2. Heard Mr.S.Muniyandi, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Siva Thilakar, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he is the owner of the subject property and in order to survey and fix boundaries for the subject property, he has made an online application to the respondent authority on 27.08.2026. Since the said application has not been considered till date, the present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought in the Writ Petition, this Court is inclined to issue the following directions:

WP(MD) No. 29266 of 2026 “The second respondent is directed to consider the application submitted by the petitioner on 27.08.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.”

5. It is made clear that the order passed and the proceedings undertaken pursuant thereto would not confer any right to possession of the property if the same is in the hands of third parties.

6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 09-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No cmr To
