PRAYER: Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd Respondent to survey and demonstrate the four boundaries of the petitioner’s land to an extent of Survey Nos.341/8D3B to an extent of 24 cents, 341/50A2 to an extent of 10.87 cents and 341/50B1 to an extent of 1.90 cents situated at Aadiyanuthu Village, Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul District by considering the petitioner’s representation dated 19.05.2026 within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus seeking for a direction to the second respondent to survey and demonstrate the four boundaries of the petitioner’s land in Survey Nos.341/8D3B to an extent of 24 cents, 341/50A2 to an extent of 10.87 cents and 341/50B1 to an extent of 1.90 cents situated at Aadiyanuthu Village, Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul District by considering the petitioner’s representation dated 19.05.2026.
2. Heard Mr.V.Karthikraja, learned Counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.Venkatesh, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that he is the owner of the subject property and in order to survey and fix boundaries for the subject property, he has made an application/representation to the respondent authority on 19.05.2026. Since the said application/representation has not been considered till date, the present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the aforesaid relief. __________

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that pursuant to the application made by the petitioner, notice had been issued by the third respondent for conducting survey on 12.08.2026, however, the same could not be carried out.
5. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought in the Writ Petition, this Court is inclined to issue the following directions: “The third respondent is directed to consider the application/representation submitted by the petitioner on 19.05.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eights weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.”
6. It is made clear that the order passed and the proceedings undertaken pursuant thereto would not confer any right to possession of the property if the same is in the hands of third parties.
