ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to the respondents 1 to 7 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.07.2026 and to take immediate action to shift the proposed bridge and Vehicle Underpass (VUP) at

Chainage No.161 + 800 RHS, connecting Perandapalli Village and Allur Village, to a suitable alternative location.
2. The petitioner owns a property at Allur Village, Hosur Taluk. The petitioner would submit that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is in the process of construction of a bridge and Vehicle Underpass (VUP) connecting the Perandapalli Village and Allur Village. The grievance of the petitioner is that during the course of construction, the existing public road was excavated to a depth of approximately 25 feet for the formation of VUP, as a result of which, visible cracks had developed in the nearby residential building. Therefore, he apprehends danger to the safety of the occupants and the structural stability of the building. Hence, he had submitted a detailed representation on 27.07.2026 requesting to shift the proposed bridge and VUP to an alternative location. Since there is no response from the respondents, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Heard the learned counsels on both sides and also perused the materials available on record.
4. A perusal of the photographs enclosed in the typed-set of writ petition would itself clearly show that the construction of the bridge is nearing

completion and at this eleventh hour, the petitioner has approached this Court. The petitioner having kept quiet all along, it does not lie in the mouth of the petitioner to now challenge the said construction. Therefore, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
