ORDER
The petitioner, claiming to be the second wife of a deceased employee one Govindan, has submitted a representation dated 01.04.2025 seeking family pension and also filed this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus.
2. Today, when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel submits that the deceased employee Govindan had mentioned his first wife Peruthammal as nominee in the service register and she died on 30.04.2016. However, the deceased employee married the petitioner while his first wife was alive. Therefore, the marriage between the petitioner and the deceased employee Govindan was held to be illegal. Accordingly, the petitioner’s request has been rejected by proceedings dated 07.10.2026. A copy of the proceedings dated 07.10.2026 is placed before this Court and also served on the learned counsel for the petitioner.
