Prayer: This Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to re-assess the property tax assessment in respect of the Petitioner’s property situated at Door No. 241/C (Corporation Door No.55/1 241-C), Kilpauk Garden Road, Kilpauk, Chennai - 600 010, Egmore Taluk, Block No. 10, comprised in Old Survey No.
54, Patta Re-Survey No.136/7, measuring an extent of 5,302 sq.ft., by taking into consideration that the building has remained vacant, unoccupied, unlet and unused from 06.10.2022, and consequently grant vacancy remission and refund the excess property tax amount, if any, collected from the Petitioner, or adjust the same towards the future property tax dues payable by the Petitioner, after duly considering the Petitioner’s representation dated 15.08.2026.

ORDER
When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw this Writ Petition with liberty to file fresh petition. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.
2. In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to file fresh writ petition. No costs.
