Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to conduct enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 29.09.2026 and take action against the respondents 2 to 7 for intentionally rejecting the petitioners bid without assigning reasons and violating the tamilnadu transparency in tenders act and rules and cancel the allotment of the tender work to the ineligible contractors in respect of work nos.118,117,61,56,41 as mentioned in G.O.(D) No.182, water resources (I.Spl.2) department dated 17.08.2026 on the file of the 1st respondent and allot the above works to the petitioner.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- “ directing the 1st respondent to conduct enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 29.09.2026 and take action against the respondents 2 to 7 for intentionally rejecting the petitioners bid without assigning reasons and violating the tamilnadu transparency in tenders act and rules and cancel the allotment of the tender work to the ineligible contractors in respect of work nos.118,117,61,56,41 as mentioned in G.O.(D) No.182, water resources (I.Spl.2) department dated 17.08.2026 on the file of the 1st respondent and allot the above works to the petitioner.”

2. When the matter came up for hearing, it was informed by the learned Special Government Pleader that one of the works had been allotted to the petitioner and that the other works had been allotted to other bidders, as the petitioner had failed in the Technical Bid.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.09.2026 within a stipulated time frame.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either and perused the records.
5. Though the present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the reliefs stated supra, considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and in the absence of any serious objection from the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 7, this Writ Petition is disposed of. The 1st respondent is directed to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 29.09.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
