Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondent to consider the petitioner represetnation dated 09.06.2026 and consequently direct the respondnets to identify and remove all illegal encroahcments found in the Government Odai poramboke (Waterscourse Poramboke) lands comprised in Survey Nos. 5, 34, 7, 30 and 10/1 situated at Thagamtheerthapuram village, Chinnasalem Taluk Kallakurichi Distrct, within a time frame fixed by this Honble Court, and consequently restore the natural watercourse for free flow of rainwater.

Department (WRD) dated 17.09.2026 providing details about the encroachment made in the water body.
2. In view of the said report, the respondents are directed to coordinate with the WRD and ensure that the encroachments in the water body are removed under the relevant provisions of the Statutes and Rules in force. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. (S.M.S.,J.)
