ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.07.2026 to remove the electric poles erected in her lands, within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. The case of the petitioner is that her husband late.Balarama Naicker owned an extent of 46 2/3 cents of lands in Madhavaram Village. He had laid a suit for injunction in O.S.No.294 of 1997 before the District Munsif Court, Thiruvottiyur and had obtained an order in his favour. The petitioner had also approached this Court for grant of patta in W.P.No.10553 of 2024, and this Court by order dated had directed the petitioner to file an online application and on receipt of the same, the respondents were directed to consider her request. The petitioner would contend that despite the orders of this Court, her request for grant of patta was not considered by the revenue officials. Therefore, she had initiated contempt proceedings in Cont.P.No.180 of 2025, and this contempt petition was closed on 06.03.2025, by recording the statement of the learned Government Advocate that the online application submitted by the petitioner was rejected.
3. Challenging the rejection order, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Puzhal, on 19.03.2025. Since her appeal was not disposed of, the petitioner had approached this Court once again by filing

W.P.No.21767 of 2025 and the same was disposed of on 20.06.2025, directing the Revenue Divisional Officer, Puzhal, to dispose of the appeal within three months, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner and other interested parties / rival claimants. The petitioner would also contend that no appeal was filed as against the decrees in the civil suits filed by the petitioner.
3. While so, the second respondent without issuing prior notice to the petitioner had entered upon her lands and erected the electric poles. Therefore, the petitioner had submitted her representation to respondents 1 and 2 on 30.12.2025 to remove the electric poles. Since no action is seen forthcoming, she again approached the respondents with her representation dated 02.07.2026. However, the same was not considered to date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, and also perused the materials placed before the Court.
5. The grievance of the petitioner is that without issuing notice to the petitioner, the respondents have erected the electric poles in her property. A perusal of the typed set of papers would reveal that the petitioner had approached the respondents vide her representation dated 30.12.2025, to remove

the electric poles and there was no response from the respondents. Therefore, the petitioner had once again approached the respondents through her representation dated 02.07.2026, which also remained unattended by the respondents to date.
6. Taking into account that the petitioner is an octogenarian, aged 82 years and the limited prayer sought in this writ petition is to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.07.2016, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation and take appropriate action in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 06-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No DS
