JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by G.R.Swaminathan, J.) None appears for the appellant / petitioner.

2. The unsuccessful writ petitioner is the appellant before us. The appellant approached the respondent with a request for being appointed as a multi-purpose hospital worker. His request was rejected vide order dated 07.03.2022. Questioning the same, W.P.(MD)No.12424 of 2022 came to be filed. The writ petition was dismissed with liberty in the following terms:- “The petitioner's request to be appointed for the post of Multi Purpose Hospital Worker came to be rejected through the impugned order, dated 07.03.2022, on the ground that there are no existing vacancies.

2. Whenever, vacancy arises and the respondent's institution intend to fill up such vacancy, there is a duty casts on them to follow the procedures for such selection process. It is needless to point out that the petitioner, if qualified, is entitled to participate in the selection process. Since the respondents have rejected the petitioner's request on the ground that there are no vacancy, I do not find any infirmity in such order.

3. Hence, this writ petition stands dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to participate in future selection process for the post of Multi Purpose Hospital Worker.”

Assailing the same, this writ appeal has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate for the respondent points out that the appellant made one more request in the year 2023 and it was rejected on 30.03.2023. Questioning the same, the appellant filed W.P. (MD)No.10980 of 2023. It is stated that yet another writ petition is also pending before this Court.

4. The petitioner can as well pursue his remedy in this pending writ petitions. The Writ Appeal is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. (G.R.S.
