Prayer:
This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent, herein to forthwith allot the Plot in the name of the petitioner in respect of the petitioner house plot which is in possession of the petitioner situated in New Anna Nagar, Tirumullaivoyal, Tiruvallur District by considering the petitioners’ representation dated 05.03.2026 within stipulated period of time.

This writ petition is filed for the following relief: “To direct the 2nd respondent, herein to forthwith allot the Plot in the name of the petitioners in respect of the petitioners’ house plot which is in possession of the petitioners situated in New Anna Nagar, Tirumullaivoyal, Tiruvallur District by considering the petitioners’ representation dated

2. The petitioners are slum dwellers and they are in possession and enjoyment of the subject lands for the past 50 years. The Government has laid proper roads and provided drainage facility, drinking water pipelines, electricity lines, etc. The petitioners have also been issued with Aadhar card and ration card. They are also paying the necessary taxes.
3. The petitioners gave a representation dated 16.10.2025 to respondent board seeking allotment of lands. Thereafter, the 3rd respondent conducted field inspection and prepared the list for allotment in favour of the occupants. Since there is no progress the petitioners gave representation dated 05.03.2026 to speed up the process. The said representation has also not been considered by the respondents. Therefore, the petitioners are before this Court.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the petitioners’ representation dated 05.03.2026 has not been considered to date, a direction is issued to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioners’ representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance

with law, within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
