This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 18.08.2026, conduct a proper site inspection and technical assessment, consider the feasibility of shifting the proposed alignment of the additional electricity line and five poles from the petitioner’s land in S.No.14/2A, Paivalasa Village, R.K. Pet Taluk, Thiruvallur District, towards the northern side /road margin adjoining S.No.2B after affording the petitioner an opportunity of hearing and

Order
This writ petition is filed for the following relief: “To direct the respondents to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 18.08.2026, conduct a proper site inspection and technical assessment, consider the feasibility of shifting the proposed alignment of the additional electricity line and five poles from the petitioner’s land in S.No.14/2A, Paivalasa Village, R.K. Pet Taluk, Thiruvallur District, towards the northern side /road margin adjoining S.No.2B after affording the petitioner an opportunity of hearing and consequently forbear from erecting the proposed poles/drawing the proposed line through the petitioner’s property until such consideration and decision.”

2. The petitioner is the owner of the land comprised in S.No.14/2A, Paivalasa Village, RK Pet taluk, Thiruvallur District. The case of the petitioner is that already six electric poles have been installed in his land, which affects his enjoyment of the property. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents have now proposed to erect five additional electric poles in the same property.
3. The petitioner would submit that he made a representation dated 18.08.2026 requesting the respondents to consider the alternate alignment. Since there is no response the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the petitioner’s representation dated 18.08.2026 has not been considered to date, a direction is issued to respondents to consider the petitioner’s representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that till the disposal of the petitioner’s representation new pole shall not be installed in the petitioner’s property.
