ORDER

This petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 11.09.2026 to close the History Sheet which was opened in the name if the petitioner in HS No. 589/2013 on the file of the 3rd respondent within time stipulated by this Court.

2. Mr.D.Rajaboopathy, learned Government Advocate, (Crl. Side) takes notice for the respondents. Heard the counsel on either side and perused the records.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation within a time frame.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the petitioner is involved in some previous cases.

WP Crl.(MD) No. 5521 of 2026

5. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the cases pending against the petitioner are falsely foisted against him. He further submitted that although the petitioner submitted a representation on 11.09.2026 seeking removal of his name from the History Sheet, it remains pending without any progress. Hence, he prayed for suitable directions to the respondents.

6. Considering the limited scope of the prayer, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.09.2026 on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and pass appropriate orders within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. 01-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No TM
