ORDER

Writ Petition filed praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant the petitioner the revised scale of pay of Rs.15,600–39,100 + Grade Pay of Rs.5,400/- with effect from 12.12.2007, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.02.2024.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is entitled to a revised scale of pay with effect from 12.12.2007 and, in this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 10.02.2024. However, the said representation has not been considered by the respondents. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. However, the said contention is strongly objected to by respondents 1 to 3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 3 would contend that the claim of the petitioner is hit by delay and laches. However, in all fairness, he would submit that the respondents would consider the petitioner's representation on its own merits and in accordance with law.

4. In view of the fair submission made by the learned Government

Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 3, without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.02.2024, on its own merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, the present Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. The connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 30-09-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No JRS To
