ORDER

This Criminal Revision Case challenges the order passed in MP No.793 of 2025 in MC No.499 of 2024 by the learned VI Additional Principal Judge, VI

CRL RC No. 2252 of 2026

Additional Family Court, Chennai, awarding the monthly maintenance of Rs.50,000/- per month to the third respondent and Rs.25,000/- per month to the second respondent.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the petitioner is liable to maintain his children and the paternity is not in dispute, he is unable to pay the maintenance amount due to his financial constraints.

3. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondents would submit that the petitioner abandoned the respondents, left for the UAE and married for the second time. He would further submit that the maintenance case is nearing completion and that the petitioner is employed and has ample means to pay the awarded amount as he is a Director/Promoter of many companies.

4. It is seen from the impugned order that the learned Judge has taken into consideration the financial status of the parties and the averments made in the petition and counter, to fix the quantum of maintenance as stated above, pending the disposal of the maintenance case. It is not in dispute that the maintenance case is nearing completion. The details of the expenses are stated in paragraph No.7 of the impugned order, wherein the monthly expenses for the maintenance of the third respondent towards food, clothing and medical care are quantified at Rs.96,000/-, general expenses at Rs.80,500/- and specialised

training for the children is Rs.25,000/-. Considering all these facts and status of the petitioner, the learned Judge quantified the maintenance and rightly fixed the liability on the petitioner.

5. This Court finds no infirmity whatsoever in the impugned order. Accordingly, this Criminal Revision Case stands dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.

6. The petitioner is directed to continue to pay the monthly maintenance to respondents 2 and 3 as per the impugned order, pending disposal of the main maintenance case. 29-09-2026 Neutral Citation: Yes/No ham To The VI Additional Principal Judge, VI Additional Family Court, Chennai.
