JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by S.M.Subramaniam J.) Learned counsel appearing for the respondent Mr.Manoj Kumar would submit that the respondent had drawn higher scale of pay of Rs.950-1500/- without reference to the qualifications prescribed in G.O.Ms.No.762, Finance (Pay Cell) Department dated 20.08.1986 and from the date of appointment notionally from 01.06.1988 and actual monetary benefits from 01.04.1992 as per Board Proceedings No.547 dated 04.12.1997. Learned counsel for the respondent would submit that in view of the said factual position, the respondent may not be eligible for further revision of scale of pay as such sought for in that writ petition. Therefore, he has chosen to withdraw the writ petition.

2. In view of the submission made on behalf of the respondent, the respondent is permitted to withdraw the writ petition in W.P.No.19993 of 2020 and consequently the writ appeal in W.A.No.2307 of 2024 stands closed.
