ORDER

(By G.R.Swaminathan, J.) Heard both sides.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is undoubtedly correct in his submission that the petitioner/branch is entitled to 2/3rd. But then, she herself had given a statement before the authorities that the compensation amount can be divided into two halves and one half can be paid to her and another half has to be paid to her brother namely, Ravichandran. The authorities have only acted on the statement given in writing by the petitioner herself. The copy of the same has also been produced before us. Therefore, we will not blame the authority for having disbursed half share to Lingam. It is open to the petitioner herein to workout her remedies in the manner known to law.

3. With the aforesaid liberty to the petitioner, this contempt petition is closed. (G.R.S. J.,) & (M.D.S. J.,) 25.09.2026 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No ias To:
