ORDER
The Division Bench has granted interim stay on 09.03.2026 and thereafter, it appears that the matter was listed again on 08.09.2026 and was directed to be heard on 16.09.2026. However, on 16.09.2026, the matter could not be listed since the Hon’ble Chief Justice was presiding over the First Bench of Madurai Bench of Madras High Court..
CONT P No. 687 of 2026
2. I do not see any purpose in keeping this contempt petition alive since the order of interim stay granted by the First Bench continues to remain in force.
3. Giving liberty to the petitioners to revive the contempt in the event of the writ appeal being dismissed.
4. The contempt petition is closed for the present. Consequently, the connected Sub Application is closed. 24.09.2026 sr
