3. On 10.09.2026, we had passed the following order: "xxxx

xxxx

2. Considering the nature of the dispute between the parties, who are all members of Viramgam Bar Association, we feel that it would be appropriate if an attempt at amicable settlement of the dispute is made.

3. At this stage, learned Senior counsel for the petitioner(s) makes a statement that the amount involved, i.e. Rs.54,000/-, will be deposited by the petitioner(s) before the Registry of this Court.

4. Let the said amount be deposited within 02 weeks from today, whereafter the Registry shall invest the same in an interest bearing Fixed Term Deposit of a Nationalized Bank with auto renewal facility, initially for a period of 06 months.

5. For exploring possibility of a settlement, we issue notice, returnable on 27.10.2026.

6. In the meanwhile, no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner(s)

in

connection

with

C.R. No.11192061260354/2026 registered at Police Station- Viramgam Town, District- Ahmedabad, subject to the petitioner(s) co- operating with the investigation.

7. Needless to say, the statement made by learned Senior counsel is without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the petitioner(s)."

4. While learned counsel for the second respondent submits that the conduct of the petitioners bely expectation of any endeavour being made for an amicable settlement, learned senior counsel for the petitioners submits that having regard to the nature of the dispute and the parties involved, it would be just and proper if an endeavour is made to resolve the dispute between the parties amicably.

5. Considering the above, we direct the parties i.e. petitioners and respondent No. 2 to appear before the Co-ordinator of the Supreme Court Mediation Centre on 04.11.2026 at 11.00 A.M., the first appearance being virtually. Thereafter, it will be at the discretion of the learned Mediator nominated by the Coordinator to allow virtual appearance of the parties or to insist for the physical presence, as may be necessary.

6. List this matter after two months on 05.01.2027 along with the mediation report. (KANIKA TAYAL) (CHETNA BALOONI) COURT MASTER (SH) COURT MASTER (NSH)
