ORDER

This petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dt.22.07.2026 and conduct enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner under the monitoring of 2nd respondent within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Mr.D.Rajaboopathy, learned Government Advocate, (Crl. Side) takes notice for the respondents. Heard the counsel on either side and perused the records.

3. The petitioner and her ex-husband, Mr. Siva Arul Raj @ Nikhil, appeared before this Court. The petitioner has already obtained a decree of divorce from her ex-husband by order dated 20.08.2026 in O.P. No. 306 of 2025 on the file of the Principal Subordinate Judge, Tenkasi.

4. The learned counsel appearing for both sides attempted to resolve the dispute amicably between the petitioner and her ex-husband, but the mediation efforts ended in failure.

5. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that, based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police have registered a case in Crime No. 72 of 2026 against the accused persons, namely: Siva Arul Raj @ Nikhil, S/o Ramraj (Ex-husband) Kavitha (A-2), and Anita (A-3). The FIR has been registered for offences punishable under Sections 66E and 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, read with Sections 77, 79, 351, and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.

6. The prayer in this Writ Petition is for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.07.2026 and conduct an enquiry into the matter, within the time framed by this Court. Since the respondent police have already registered the FIR in Crime No. 72 of 2026 during the pendency of this petition, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed, and the purpose of this Writ Petition has been fulfilled.

7. In view of the above, nothing further survives for consideration in this Writ Petition.

8. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed. The respondent police shall proceed with the investigation in Crime No. 72 of 2026 in accordance with the law. 16.09.2026 TM To

1. The Superintendent of Police, O/o.The Superintendent of Police Tenkasi district.

2. The Deputy Superintendent of Police Alangulam Sub-Division Tenkasi district.

3. The Inspector of Police All Women Police Station Alangulam Tenkasi district.
