3. Based on the petitioner's representation dated 08.09.2026, which was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed. When the matter was taken up in the morning session on 16.09.2026, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that, instead of permitting the programme during night hours, the petitioner may conduct the programme during day hours. If it is so, the respondent police will consider the request for permission and police protection, subject to NOCs for electricity, land usage and other aspects.

4. Then, the learned counsel for the petitioner came forward to conduct the programme during the day hours from 8.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. instead of night hours, subject to satisfaction with NOC from the concerned department for two [2] days.

5. Considering the submissions made on behalf of the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent police to consider petitioner's request for permission and to provide police protection for conducting Kabadi Tournament from 19.09.2026 to 20.09.2026 between 8.00 a.m and 6.00 p.m. for two days subject to NOCs from the land owner, electricity department and other concerned authorities.

6. If the petitioner satisfies the above condition and also on payment of cost for police protection, the respondent police is directed to provide adequate police protection with permission at the earliest, which enable the petitioner to proceed further.
