ORDER

The writ petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the second respondent dated 12.10.2019, wherein the claim of the petitioner for rectification of the revenue records and grant of patta in his favour was rejected on the ground that the revenue records with regard to the property in question stood in the name of the fifth respondent.

2. In this regard, it is useful to refer to the decision of the Division Bench of this Court reported in (1995) 1 MLJ 426 in the case of Kuppuswami Nainar vs The District Revenue Officer And Ors, wherein, the Division Bench held that a writ petition challenging an order of a similar nature could not be entertained and that the parties should be relegated to the competent Civil Court for resolving their disputes, in accordance with the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court.

3. This Court finds that the present writ petition could not be entertained.

4. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed, with liberty to the petitioner to approach the competent Civil Court to seek redressal of his grievance. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 15-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No TSG
