2. Learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dharmapuri passed an order vide proceedings dated 16.02.2026 revoking the order of suspension and allowed the appellant to retire from service without prejudice to the departmental disciplinary proceedings, which shall be continued under Rule 9 of the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules, 1978.

3. In view of the said order, no further adjudication is required on merits in the present writ appeal. Learned counsel for the appellant would submit that the departmental disciplinary proceedings may be concluded by fixing a timeline. Learned Special Government Pleader would oppose by stating that the appellant is not even appearing before the enquiry officer for speedy disposal of the departmental disciplinary proceedings.

4. The appellant is directed to cooperate for early disposal of the departmental disciplinary proceedings by avoiding unnecessary adjournments and seeking irrelevant documents so as to prolong and protract the enquiry proceedings. Parties are directed to cooperate and ensure that the departmental disciplinary proceedings are concluded by following the procedure as contemplated as expeditiously as possible.
