MA No. 1337/2026 has been filed by the applicants under Rule 4 (5) of CAT (Procedure) Rule, 1987, for permitting them to pursue this OA jointly. The cause of action and the relief sought by the applicants appear to be similar. Accordingly, MA No. 1337/2026 is allowed. The applicants are permitted to pursue this matter jointly. Issue notice to the respondents as per rules to file reply before the next date. At this stage, the learned counsel for the applicant has pressed for interim relief. Learned counsel for the applicants has stated that the applicants have already exercised their option. He prayed that pursuant to their options, the applicants may not be compelled for permanent absorption in the DPSUs. On the other hand, the learned counsel for the respondents has opposed the prayer for interim relief on the ground that the similar issue in OA No. 1218/2026 has been dismissed by the Principal Bench vide order dated 09.10.2026. He has also produced a copy of the said order before us. Having heard learned counsel for the parties, we direct the respondents that any decision in respect of the option exercised by the applicants on or before 15.10.2026, shall be subject to final out come of this OA.
