(Oral) Since despite there being repeated requests made by the petitioner, who is holding the office of Numberdar w.e.f. 01.04.2015 in Patwar Circle Banuna, District Shimla, no steps are being taken by authorities for release of arrears of remuneration/honorarium, he is compelled to approach this Court in the instant proceedings, seeking therein directions to respondents to release the arrears, as detailed hereinabove.

Though, prima facie, this Court is of the opinion that present petition is not maintainable, however, having taken note of the fact that petitioner is being made to run from pillar-to-post for the arrears, coupled with the fact that he is a senior citizen, this Court deems it fit to dispose of the present petition, reserving liberty to the petitioner to file representation to the High Court of H.P. ::: Downloaded on - 30/10/2026 19:27:34 :::CIS

2024:HHC:16950 2 Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, within a period of one week for redressal of his grievance, which in-turn shall be decided by the afore authority, expeditiously, preferably, within a period of three weeks thereafter. Ordered accordingly.

3. Needless to say, authority concerned while doing the needful shall afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and pass detailed speaking order. Liberty is reserved to the petitioner to file appropriate proceedings in the appropriate Court of law, if he still remains aggrieved. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
