ORDER

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the first and second respondents to act upon the petitioner's complaint (CSR No. 0189/2026, dated 07.08.2026) against the named culprits in accordance with the law and direct the second respondent to conduct a fair and time-bound investigation into the offences of cheating, forgery, breach of trust, and extortion committed against the Petitioner and his family.

2. Mr.D.Rajaboopathy, learned Government Advocate (Crl.), accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. Since no adverse order is going to be passed against the private respondents, notice to them is dispensed with.

3. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. It is the grievance of the petitioner that his complaint before the respondent police seeking action against the private respondents, who have retained the petitioner’s original documents and are attempting to fabricate the documents with the intention of illegally grabbing the petitioner’s property, is pending without any progress. Hence, the petitioner seeks appropriate directions from this Court.

Considering the above said fact, this Court without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to conduct enquiry on the petitioner’s complaint and upon enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, take appropriate action in accordance with law. The outcome of the enquiry shall be communicated to the petitioner. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
