By earlier order dated 19.09.2025, the third respondent/Special Tahsildar was directed to consider the petitioner’s request for compensation and dispose of the same on merits within twelve months __________

2. Appearing on behalf of the respondent, Mr.P.Pethu Rajesh, learned Additional Government Pleader, points out that the compensation amount payable to the landowner, namely, the petitioner’s father was deposited with the Sub Judge, Tirunelveli, on 13.09.1993. He also points out that the petitioner was called for an inquiry by the Special Tahsildar and that he refused to receive the amount on the ground that it is inadequate. He has placed reliance on a communication dated 23.02.2026 in this regard. Said communication is addressed to the petitioner.
3. On perusal of the above documents, I am satisfied that the respondent did not disobey the order of this Court wilfully or otherwise. Therefore, this Contempt Petition is closed by leaving it open to the petitioner to canvass the grievance with regard to the inadequacy of compensation in accordance with law. 29-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No apd __________
