ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioners for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 13.10.2023 and direct the respondents to appoint the petitioners permanently in the posts to which they have been appointed from the

date on which they have been engaged by the Agricultural Engineering Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, with all other consequent benefits including continuity in service, difference in back wages with appropriate fitment in the grading of the posts and promotional opportunities.

2. Though the present writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to appoint the petitioners permanently to the posts to which they were appointed, the learned counsel for the petitioners now submitted that the petitioners have restricted their prayer to seek a direction to consider their representation dated 13.10.2023 according to its own merits and in accordance with law.

3. At this juncture, the learned Additional Government Pleader, in all fairness, submitted that the respondents would consider the representation of the petitioners, if reasonable time is granted.

4. In such view of the above submissions, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 13.10.2023 according to its own merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
