PRAYER: Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to publish the District Gazette Notification for the route Central Bus stand to Rachandarthirumalai as per the G.O.Ms.No.113 of Clause VI-A inserted in the G.O.Ms.No.198 of 2025 and issue permit forthwith.

ORDER
The petitioner identified a mini-bus route and applied for grant of permit to him in respect of the identified route in terms of the modification made to G.O.(Ms) No.113, Home (Transport-I) Department, dated 04.03.2026.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Motor Vehicle Inspector - Grade I has submitted a report enclosing the route map. Therefore, he submits that the respondents are required to publish the route in the District Gazette and process the application for permit.
3. Accepting notice for the respondents, Mr.S.Iniyan Karthik, learned Government Advocate, submits that the purported report at pages 44 and 45 in the paper book was not received by the respondents. Upon receipt of such report, he submits that a publication would be made in the District Gazette. After such publication is made, he submits that the petitioner may submit a statutory application for a permit.
4. Considering the above facts and circumstances, this Writ Petition is disposed of on the following terms:
i. The second respondent is directed to take necessary steps to procure a report from the Motor Vehicle Inspector in relation to

WP(MD) No. 30723 of 2026 the route identified by the petitioner. This exercise shall be completed within 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
ii. If the Motor Vehicle Inspector has approved the identified route, a publication shall be made in the District Gazette by the first respondent, Regional Transport Authority.
iii. Within 4 weeks from the date of publication, subject to receipt of statutory application from the petitioner, the application shall be disposed of in accordance with law.
