ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India challenging the order dated on 04.06.2026 in I.A.No.1 of 2025 in HMOP.No.5535 of 2024 on the file of the V Additional Family Court at Chennai, wherein the Family Court, based on the application filed by the respondents under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, directed the petitioner to pay a monthly maintenance of Rs.7,500/- to the 2nd respondent pending disposal of the HMOP and a further direction was given to pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- towards litigation expenses.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and carefully perused the materials available on record and this Court also carefully went through the order passed by the Court below.

3. In the considered view of this Court, the order passed by the Court below does not suffer from any perversity warranting the interference of this

Court. The Court below has rightly not granted any maintenance to the wife, since the Court below found that she is working and earning money to sustain herself. The Court has only directed the petitioner to pay maintenance for the girl child, who is maintained by the respondent. The amount fixed by the Court below is certainly not on the higher side warranting the interference under Article 227 of the Constitution of India.

4. In the result, this Civil Revision Petition stands dismissed. No Costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 28-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No SSR To The V Additional Family Court, Chennai.
