ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) Writ of mandamus has been instituted to remove the encroachments in the subject land.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even after removing the encroachments, again encroachments are made.

3. In this regard, learned Government Advocate relying on the counter affidavit filed by the second respondent would submit that the re- encroachers were evicted and orders have been passed by the second respondent in proceedings dated 11.09.2026 directing the Revenue Inspector and Village Administrative Officer to maintain continuous monitoring and vigilance over the subject land.

4. If at all, encroachers are making repeated encroachments, authorities are duty bound to prosecute the offenders in the manner known to law. In the present case, actions have already been initiated against the re-encroachers. Thus, authorities have to take steps to maintain and protect the public land for the benefit of the people residing in that locality.
