ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) Writ of mandamus has been instituted directing the respondents or his agent, men’s not to take any coercive steps as per the proceedings Na.Ka.A1/531/2022 dated 09.09.2026 issued by the 3rd respondent under Tamilnadu Land Encroachment Act 1905 until disposal of the revision dated 28.08.2026.

2. The fact remains that revenue authorities identified encroachments and passed an order for removal of encroachments. Appeal filed by the petitioner under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905 was rejected by the District Collector. Thus, he has filed a revision petition to the Government under Section 10-C of the Act.

3. If at all any interim order is to be secured, petitioner has to prefer an application before the Government for grant of interim order. During pendency of the revision petition before the Government, it is

unnecessary for the High Court to grant an interim order in the present case. However, first respondent is directed to dispose of the revision petition as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, by following the procedure and by affording opportunities to the parties.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, are closed. (S.M.S.,J.) (R.R.V.,J.) 28-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No GD To
