PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents particularly the 2nd and 3nd Respondents to provide adequate police protection during the survey of the petitioner’s land by the 4" Respondent to the extent of 30 Cents of land out of the total extent in Survey No. 76/3 (Sub- divided as Survey No. 76/3A) situated at Pazhugal Village (Pacode/Maruthancode), Vilavancode Taluk, Kanyakumari District by considering the petitioner’s representation dated 07.09.2026 by giving notice to the parties concern within a stipulated time and pass such other or further orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice.

ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents, particularly the respondents 2 and 3, to provide adequate police protection for conducting a survey of the petitioner’s land measuring 30 cents in Survey No.76/3, subdivided as Survey No.76/3A, situated at Pazhugal Village, Vilavancode Taluk, Kanyakumari District, pursuant to the petitioner’s representation dated 07.09.2026.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the owner of 30 cents of land in the above survey number and that a dispute has arisen between the petitioner and the fifth respondent in connection with the survey of the property. It is further submitted that the petitioner has already submitted an application for conducting the survey and seeks police protection to enable the survey to be conducted without any obstruction.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader submits that the petitioner’s representation seeking police protection is pending consideration before the third respondent.
4. In view of the above submissions, the third respondent is directed to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 07.09.2026 seeking police protection and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, so as to facilitate the conduct of the survey without any law and order issues.

5. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the dispute between the petitioner and the fifth respondent, and the survey shall be conducted in accordance with law.
