PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to carry out survey, measurement and demarcation of boundaries of the properties comprised in Survey Nos.227/12A, 7A1, 7A2 and 8A and 227/12B1, 4 and 5 situated at Eragud North, Vadakupatti Village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Trichy District by considering the petitioner’s application dated 23.03.2026 and the subsequent representation dated 08.04.2026.

ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to carry out survey, measurement and demarcation of boundaries of the properties comprised in Survey Nos.227/12A, 7A1, 7A2 and 8A and 227/12B1, 4 and 5 situated at Eragud North, Vadakupatti Village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Trichy District by considering the petitioner’s application dated 23.03.2026.
2. Heard the learned Counsel on either side.
3. Even though the Writ Petition was opposed by the learned Counsel for the private respondents, it is to be noted that the very same objection can always be raised before the authorities concerned, who is bound to conduct an enquiry and records his finding on the same. In that regard, without entering upon the disputes raised by the learned Counsel for petitioner and the private respondents, this Court is inclined to issue the following directions: __________

WP(MD) No. 13746 of 2026 “The second respondent is directed to process the application of the petitioner, dated 23.03.2026 on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.”
5. It is made clear that the order passed and the proceedings undertaken pursuant thereto would not confer any right to possession of the property if the same is in the hands of third parties.
