PRAYER: Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Certiorari, order or direction in the nature of a writ, to call for the records of the impugned charge memo vide proceedings in Na.Ka.No.10190/2025/A1 dated 23/09/2025 on the file of the 2nd respondent and quash the same.

ORDER
The petitioner has been issued with a charge memo under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules [in short Rules]. Challenging this charge memo the petitioner has filed this writ petition on the ground that the allegations mentioned in the charge memo would not attract Rules 17(b) of the Rules.
2. When this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submits that the disciplinary authority has accepted the request of the petitioner and by proceedings dated 27.10.2026, he has altered the charge under Rule 17(a) of the Rules. A copy of the same is also placed before this court and also furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioner.
3. In view of the subsequent development, this writ petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. No costs.
