ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed by a person asserting that he is interested in the proper administration and protection of Peraiyur Jumma Pallivasal Waqf. He seeks a direction to bring the Waqf under the direct management of the Waqf Board.

2. Mr.K.Jeyamohan, learned Standing Counsel, accepts notice for the sole respondent. He submits that the Waqf Board will conduct the election as per directions issued earlier in W.P.(MD) No.327 of 2026. He seeks four months time to complete the process.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner points out that a stay order in C.R.P.(MD) No.1415 of 2025 was cited earlier as the reason for not conducting the election.

4. Learned Standing Counsel for the Waqf Board clarifies that such stay order pertained to the earlier management committee and that the tenure of said committee expired on 29.03.2026.

5. From the submissions of learned Standing Counsel for the Waqf Board, it is clear that the stay order in C.R.P.(MD) No.1415 of 2025 is

WP(MD) No. 30615 of 2026 not an impediment to conduct elections. Therefore, the Waqf Board is directed to take necessary measures to conduct and conclude the electoral process within four (4) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Until such time, the Waqf Board shall take necessary measures to supervise the affairs of the Waqf.

6. This Writ Petition is disposed of on these terms. There shall be no order as to costs. 28-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No apd To The Chief Executive Officer The Tamil Nadu Waqf Board No. 1 Jaffer Syrang Street Vallal Seethakathi Nagar Chennai - 600 001
