ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to grant retrospective promotion to the petitioner in accordance with the Tamil Nadu Municipal Corporation Engineering and Water Supply Subordinate Service Rules, 1996.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel, Mr.V.Vijay Shankar, would submit that the parties are not interested in pursuing the matter.

3. On perusal of the counter affidavit, this Court also does not find any merit in favour of the petitioners.
