ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first and second respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.09.2026 and to measure, survey and fix boundary stones for the petitioner's properties covered under Online Application Nos.2026/0123/36/002125 and 2026/0123/36/002126, with police protection to be provided by the third respondent against any illegal interference by respondents 4 and 5.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he is the absolute owner and possessor of certain agricultural lands situated at Periyandappalli Village and Mallapalli Village, Natrampalli Taluk, Tirupattur District, having acquired title under a registered Settlement Deed dated 26.07.2019, executed by his parents and registered as Document No.2044 of 2019 on the file of the Sub-Registrar Office, Natrampalli.
3. The petitioner submits that the revenue records have been mutated in his name and that he has been in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the subject properties. For the purpose of measuring the lands and erecting boundary fencing, he submitted online survey applications on 20.07.2026, after remitting the prescribed fees, under Application Nos.2026/0123/36/002125 and 2026/0123/36/002126.

4. According to the petitioner, when the official Field Surveyor visited the properties on 18.09.2026 to conduct the survey and mark the boundaries, respondents 4 and 5, who are adjoining landowners, allegedly interfered with the survey, raised objections and threatened the officials, thereby preventing completion of the survey. The petitioner thereafter submitted a representation dated 21.09.2026 to respondents 1 to 3, requesting that a fresh date be fixed for the survey and that adequate police protection be provided. Since no action has been taken on the said representation, the petitioner has approached this Court.
5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the nature of the relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court is of the view that the petitioner's request for measurement and demarcation of the subject properties requires consideration by the competent authorities in accordance with law. If the survey could not be completed owing to the alleged interference, the authorities shall take appropriate steps to facilitate the completion of the survey in accordance with the applicable procedure.
7. Accordingly, the first and second respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.09.2026 and take appropriate steps to

8. The third respondent is directed to extend necessary police assistance, upon a request being made by the competent revenue authorities, for the peaceful conduct of the survey and discharge of their official duties, in accordance with law.
9. It is made clear that the exercise shall be confined to the measurement and demarcation of the subject properties and shall not be construed as an adjudication of any disputed question of title or ownership.
