1. None appears on behalf of the applicant.
2. Learned Counsel for the respondent is present.
3. Learned counsel for the applicant, on the previous date, had pleaded no instructions. Accordingly, notice was issued to the applicant directing him to appear in person or through an effective legal representative. Despite service of notice, neither the applicant nor any legal representative has appeared before the Tribunal.
4. In view of the foregoing facts and circumstances, particularly the absence of the applicant or his legal representative despite due notice, this Tribunal finds no justification to keep the matter pending any further, especially as the O.A. pertains to the year 2017 and falls within the category of critically old cases. This Tribunal is constrained to believe that the applicant is not interested in pursuing the matter. Accordingly, the O.A. is dismissed for default invoking the power conferred under Rule 15 of the Central Administrative Tribunal (Procedure) Rules, 1987.
