2. It has been asserted that the matter has been compromised between the parties with the intervention of respectable members of the families and friends. The informant victim does not want to proceed further with the matter after the compromise. Hence, the present petition.

3. The statement of the informant/victim Pankaj Sood was recorded on 05.10.2026, in which he stated that he had entered into a compromise with the accused voluntarily without any influence from any person and he had no objection for quashing the FIR based on a compromise between the parties.

4. The police have filed a status report reproducing the contents of the F.I.R. and the steps taken during the investigation.

5. Section 305 of the BNS corresponds to Section 380 of IPC and Section 331(4) of BNS corresponds to Section 454 of IPC. This Court had already quashed the FIR registered for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 457 and 380 of the IPC in Vikram Singh Vs. State of H.P. and others, 2024:HHC:6100 and Anil Kumar Vs. State of H.P. and another, 2023:HHC:10860. The offence punishable under Section 454 of IPC is less grave than an

offence punishable under Section 457 of IPC and can be quashed as per the binding precedent.

6. Consequently, the present petition is allowed, and the FIR No.115 of 2025, dated 11.11.2025 registered for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 305 and 331(4) of BNS at Police Station Chirgaon, District Shimla, H.P. and consequential proceedings arising out of F.I.R. are quashed.

7. Petition stands disposed of in the above terms, so also pending applications, if any.

8. Parties are permitted to produce a copy of this judgment, downloaded from the webpage of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh, before the authorities concerned, and the said authorities shall not insist on the production of a certified copy but, if required, may verify passing of the order from Website of the High Court.
