This Review application is filed under Order 47 Rules 1 & 2 of CPC r/w Section 114 of CPC., to review the order passed by this Court in WP(MD) No.5202 of 2022, dated 09.10.2025.

2. WP(MD) No.5202 of 2022 was filed by the writ petitioner/an employee of the fourth respondent Firm sought for EPF, Gratuity and compensation amount from the Firm. At the time of disposal of that writ petition, the fourth respondent has made his submission that the compensation of Rs.65,000/- had already been paid to the petitioner. Recording the submissions of the learned counsel for the fourth respondent, W.P.(MD) No.5202 of 2022 was disposed of by this Court, by its order, dated on 09.10.2025, with a direction to the first respondent to pay the gratuity amount, if any, due to the petitioner within six weeks.

3. This Review application is now filed on the ground that a wrong representation has been made by the Proprietor of J.K.Engineering and Electro Platers, Virudhunagar /the fourth respondent. In fact, when the writ petition was disposed of on 09.10.2025, there was no representation for the petitioner, however, this Court has decided the issue based on the instructions of the fourth respondent.

4. Although the scope of review is limited, on the persuasion of the learned counsel for the petitioner and with a view to give a quietus to the dispute, this Court, by its order dated, 28.07.2026, has entertained this Review application and referred the matter to the Mediation Centre and appointed Mrs.Ananthavalli, learned Counsel as Mediator.

5. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel on either side submit that, on the efforts taken by the Mediator, the dispute relating to compensation has been amicably settled and the agreed amount has been paid to the petitioner. An agreement of settlement dated 14.08.2026 is also placed before this Court. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's claim for pension was not considered in the Mediation.

6. Considering the nature of the order passed in W.P. (MD) No.5202 of 2022, the scope of review and the agreement of settlement, dated 14.08.2026 now placed before this Court, this review application is closed. If the petitioner is still having any grievance with regard to his entitlement to pension or any other dues from the fourth respondent, it is open to him to pursue a separate claim. No costs. 26-10-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Neutral Citation: Yes/No VRN
