ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and the learned Counsel for State of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for the 4th respondent.
2. Considering the limited relief that has been sought for in the writ petition, notice to the 5th respondent is dispensed with.
3. This writ petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st to 3rd respondents to conduct survey and measurement in respect of the land in Survey No.20/3C to an extent of 0-14.00 Hectares in Vellaiyakonpatti Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District with police protection and to issue survey report to the petitioner within a time frame fixed by this Court based on the representation, dated 17.09.2026. __________

Considering the fact that the petitioner had made an application on 17.09.2026 for surveying his property, there shall be a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's application dated 17.09.2026 and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, 5th respondent and to other interested persons, if any, in consonance with the provisions of Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923. If the respondents 1 to 3 requires the assistance of the 4th respondent, it is open to them to seek such assistance at the cost of the petitioner.
5. It is made clear that the order passed and the proceedings undertaken pursuant thereto would not confer any right to possession of the property if the same is in the hands of third parties.
