ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 4 and the learned Counsel for State of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 2, 3 and 5.
2. Considering the limited relief that has been sought for in the Writ Petition, notice to the 6th respondent is dispensed with.
3. This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 4th respondents to survey the petitioner's properties in survey Nos.449/2C, 450/1, 449/1B, 449/2A, 449/2D situated at Kodalvavi Village, Dindigul West Taluk, Dindigul District and __________

WP(MD) No. 30176 of 2026 consequently directing the respondents 2, 3 and 5 to provide adequate police protection for the same based on the petitioner's representation, dated 24.08.2026 within a period that may be stipulated by this Court.
4. Considering the fact that the petitioner had made an application on 24.08.2026 for surveying his property, there shall be a direction to the respondents 1 and 4 to consider the petitioner's application dated 24.08.2026 and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, 6th respondent and to other interested persons, if any, in consonance with the provisions of Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923. If the respondents 1 and 4 requires the assistance of the 5th respondent, it is open to them to seek such assistance at the cost of the petitioner.
5. It is made clear that the order passed and the proceedings undertaken pursuant thereto would not confer any right to possession of the property if the same is in the hands of third parties. __________
