Heard the learned Counsel for the applicant. Admit. Mr. Prenjith Kumar K.S, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents. Learned Counsel for the applicant pointed out that the daughter of the applicant is studying in Class IX at Kavaratti, the applicant has not completed the minimum tenure, that the impugned order to the extent it transfers the applicant before the completion of period specified, has no sanction of the Administrator as evidenced in clause 9 and that at least three persons who have been completed their tenure evidenced by Annexure A-4 have been retained at Kavaratti. Though the learned Standing Counsel for the Lakshadweep Administration vehemently opposed granting of any interim relief, we feel that a prima facie case has been made out. Accordingly, we are inclined to stay the operation of Annexure A-2 till the next date of hearing. Meanwhile, the representation submitted by the applicant shall be processed and disposed of in accordance with Rules. Call on 19.11.2026 for filing reply statement.
