PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus direct the respondents 1 to 7 to consider the petitioner’s representation dated on 01.04.2026 to conduct a survey of the public pathway comprised in Natham Survey No.151/22 situated at Parapathi Village, Thirupparankundram Taluk, Madurai District identify the encroachments made by the Respondents 8 and 9, initiate appropriate proceedings under Section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905, remove the encroachments, restore the public pathway to its original condition within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate produced a copy of the said order. Therefore, the prayer in this writ petition has become infructuous. If the private respondents herein do not challenge the order passed under Section 6 and it becomes final, the eviction order has to be enforced. We grant two months’ time to the authorities to complete the exercise.
