This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider and effect the application submitted by the petitioner to the 4th respondent vide letter dated 01.08.2026 for shifting of existing meter board service connection from its existing position, raise its height and re-install it in suitable place within petitioner’s premises at No.9B, Raja Gardens, Paper Mills Road, Peravallur, Chennai-600 082.

Order
This writ petition is filed for the following relief: “To direct respondents to consider and effect the application submitted by the petitioner to the 4th respondent vide letter dated 01.08.2026 for shifting of existing meter board service connection from its existing position, raise its height and re-install it in suitable place within petitioner’s premises at No.9B, Raja Gardens, Paper Mills Road, Peravallur, Chennai-600 082.”
2. Heard the learned counsels and perused the records.

3. From a perusal of the records it is seen that on 07.08.2026, the 3rd respondent has sent the following letter to the petitioner: “j';fs ; kpd;,izg;g [ gyif

4. However, without responding to the letter and providing the documents the petitioner has rushed to this Court. Infact, in the online application which is submitted on 07.08.2026 the petitioner has only submitted a copy of the Aadhar card and Meter card. Therefore, the petitioner shall submit the requisite documents manually to the 4th respondent who shall thereafter process the petitioner’s online application dated 07.08.2026. The petitioner shall submit the documents within a period of 1 week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and within a period of 3 weeks, therefrom orders shall be passed.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 12-10-2026 KAN
