PRAYER:
Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS directing the 2nd Respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 21.06.2022 to correct the extent in the Town Survey records and grant patta in favour of the petitioner for the entire purchased extent of 2371.95 sq.ft, in Ward A, Block 38, Town Survey No.56/4 (Old Survey No.185/1 part), Pattukkottai Town, as per the registered Sale Deeds dated 19.04.2004
and 12.06.2006, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side.
2. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
3. This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd Respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 21.06.2022 to correct the extent in the Town Survey records and grant patta in favour of the petitioner for the entire purchased extent of 2371.95 sq.ft, in Ward A, Block 38, Town Survey No.56/4 (Old Survey No.185/1 part), Pattukkottai Town, as per, the registered Sale Deeds dated 19.04.2004 and 12.06.2006.
4. Considering the fact that the petitioner's appeal dated 21.06.2022 is still pending consideration before the second respondent, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the said appeal on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the interested parties, if any, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
