PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS directing the Respondents to consider the Petitioner’s representation dated 01.10.2026, examine the claim under Rural Postal Life Insurance Policy No.0000008103608 of the Petitioner’s deceased husband, Vellaiyan, and settle and disburse all admissible death claim benefits in accordance with the policy conditions, within a reasonable time.

ORDER
The petitioner’s husband, late Vellaiyan, had subscribed to the Rural Postal Life Insurance Scheme under Policy No. 0000008103608. After the death of the petitioner’s husband on 06.07.2026, the petitioner applied for settlement of benefits under the above-mentioned policy. The present Writ Petition relates thereto.
2. Accepting notice for both the respondents, Mr.V.Malaiyendran, learned Central Government Senior Panel Counsel, submits that the second respondent would consider and dispose of the representation dated 01.10.2026 in accordance with the terms and conditions of the policy.
3. Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to consider and dispose of the representation dated 01.10.2026 in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Rural Postal Life
